We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to manage and coordinate procurement activities for construction projects, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, within budget, and according to project requirements.
The ideal candidate is a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably with strong experience working directly with contractors and within construction companies. The candidate should have solid experience in budget preparation, procurement planning, and cost control.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement plans based on project requirements and schedules
- Prepare and monitor procurement budgets and ensure purchases remain within approved budgets
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and project requirements
- Review quotations, negotiate prices, and support cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Coordinate with project and site teams to identify material requirements and priorities
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry
- Previous experience working directly with contractors and construction companies
- Strong experience in budget preparation and procurement planning
- Strong negotiation, coordination, and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience in managing procurement for multiple construction projects
- Experience with ERP or procurement management systems
- Strong knowledge of cost comparison and supplier evaluation
